Honeywell Mistmate Cool Mist Humidifier
I have tried many cool mist and heated mist humidifiers. I found this to be the best by far. Many manufacturers are on the bandwagon that ionized and nano-particulate or ‘ultrasonic – tiny particulate’ are best. Actually, as far as I’m concerned it’s just a marketing trend. Here’s why: I purchased 3 micro particulate humidifiers. I placed a humidity meter 3 feet from the unit in the room. After 24 hours of operation, the nano-particulate/ionization units showed no noticeable increase in the ambient humidity in the room. In contrast, this particular unit placed the same distance from the humidity meter in the room [10 x 12] showed a marked increase in the ambient humidity – 6% from 22% to 28%. This unit is extremely quiet and provides about 20 hours of operation before having to have to refill the tank.
Cool Mist Humidifiers and Indoor Growing:
This humidifier is a must have if you are growing indoors, whether it been exotic plants, food plants or medicinal plants. Plants require consistent humidity levels in order to thrive. I am using 2 of these units in my indoor grow area [above] and am maintaining a consistent humidity level of 58%. Of course, I’m in the Sonoran Desert where normal ambient humidity rarely rises above 18-20%. Your specific requirements will vary depending on your location and the size of your indoor grow area.
Cool Mist Humidifiers and Colloidal Silver Nebulizing:
As I mentioned previously, I eradicated my disseminated Valley Fever with colloidal silver. The practice of putting your 0.10-0.12 DPS/PPM suspension into your cool mist humidifier helps with respiratory ailments and bacterial/fungal/viral infections better than any over the counter prescription medications I’ve used.* From a prepper standpoint, the colloidal silver generator is all you will need in a SHTF scenario. When using cool mist humidifiers in conjunction with colloidal silver it is important to use a non-filtering unit as the filtering units will trap the colloidal particulates and therefore not disburse them into the air via the mist of the humidifier.
